Morning Light
This CD Titled "MORNING LIGHT" has been a long time in the making. This CD has taken the better part of a year to finish and I am very proud of this CD and the outcome of each song. All the songs on this CD I wrote with the exception of 3. Some of these songs are very personal to me that were born in times of great pain and joy. This CD would not have been possible without the help of many people who brought their talents to the table and checked their egos at the door. I cannot thank the people enough who helped make all this possible. There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude. I have been writing songs since I was a senior in high school. What ever talent/gifts I have as a songwriter, musician, singer, person, etc…, only come from God. I am nothing without God. There was a time in my life not many years ago when I thought God didn’t hear my prayers any longer. During that time in my life I was very broken, humiliated, confused, and lost. I had very little hope left to hold on to. One day at my lowest point during this awful period of my life, I began to pray out loud and began to have this over whelming spirit come over me while I was praying. I had never felt that in my life, nor have I sense. That prayer became the song on this CD, “OH DEAR LORD HEAR MY PRAYER”. I hope and pray that if any of you ever find yourself in a position of losing hope, regardless of who or what you worship, will not become completely hopeless. Another song that came out of this awful period in my life, “YOU CAN STAND A LITTLE RAIN”. It’s a message of hope and I hope these 2 songs along with the other 9 on this CD will touch you, excite you, make you dance, etc… I cannot thank you enough for stopping by my Website and checking out my music.

JOE PHILLIPS-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER/PROGRAMMER/ARRANGER:
Joe’s credentials are too long to list. Joe’s talents are too many to mention. This man has so much talent that it’s hard for me to comprehend it all. Joe was the Executive Music Producer for the Barney Television Series for many years. I know your singing the Barney song in your head as you read this. Joe wrote many of the songs for the Barney TV show and also produced the Barney TV and Road shows for the network. The song on my CD, “WHERE THE RIVER MEETS THE SEA” was written by Joe Phillips. Joe also played many of the instruments on this CD. Piano, organ, etc…. Joe thank you so much for your time, patience, due diligence, and attention to detail while putting all this together. I want to thank you for putting up with me and my artistic perfectionistic nature. I also want to thank Joe’s wife Julie and Granddaughter Olivia for putting up with all of us in the studio. Joe, I hope we can do it again soon.

BUDDY WHITTINGTON-ELECTRIC GUITAR:
Yes we have the same last name, and yes he is my brother from another mother. Buddy’s career has a long history in the blue’s world. Buddy was the main guitar player for John Mayall And The Blues Breakers for over 15 years. If you know who John Mayall is, you know John doesn't hire 2nd rate musicians. Other musicians along with Buddy who came through John Mayall’s band through the years, Eric Clapton-self explanatory, Jack Bruce-Cream, Mick Taylor-Rolling Stones, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, & Peter Green-All from Fleetwood Mac. There are many others too, but too many to mention. I think those names alone help you understand just how good Buddy Whittington is. Buddy played electric guitar on every track of this CD. “HOW’S THE WORLD CHEATING YOU” Buddy knocks this song out of the park. Thank you Buddy for your friendship and also taking the time to lend me your talents that helped make this CD a great success. Love you brother.
MILO DEERING-ACOUSTIC GUITAR, STEEL GUITAR, DOBRO, MANDOLIN, & VIOLIN:
This man is a beast of a musician. I got very lucky in getting Milo Deering to record on my CD. I’ve known Milo since he was the Steel Guitar player for Leann Rymes back in the day. When I called Milo about playing on my CD, he was on the road with the Eagles. I ask him if he would come and record with me, he said, “send me the songs and I’ll give you what dates I can be in the studio.” I sent him the songs and he showed up on the 2 dates he had open and brought the house down. Love this man. He is a gentle soul with talents that are unmeasurable. Thank you Milo for being my friend and sharing your talents on my CD. Your the best.

I’ve known Richard for years. Richard has been playing around the Dallas area for several years and has always been in high demand among the music community. He never fails to disappoint in his approach to playing. This man can make a Saxaphone whisper and scream. Richard, I am very grateful to you for agreeing to record with me.

SHONNA BONDS-BACKUP VOCALS:
I did not know Shonna when this CD began. Joe Phillips my producer called her and ask her to come in and do background vocals. I now have a huge amount of respect for this beautiful soul of a woman. Her voice is like an angel. She is a total pro in the studio and Joe could not have recommend anyone better. Shonna thank you for being a part of this CD. You made me sound better than I am and I made a new friend.

When I called Gary In Los Angeles, CA. about mastering this CD, I got his VM. Gary's outgoing message sounds like someone from another dimension. Gary has a great sense of humor.
